The World's Longest Running Disk Magazine

LOADSTAR

Useful Places to Go

DOWNLOADS

Here are a few interesting DB+ programs for you to examine.  LIST them and snoop through the code.  We think you'll be impressed.

These disks are in D64 format.  If you need to, there are many ways to convert these to real 1541 disks.  I use Star CommanderA Google search or two will turn up other methods.

The VICE Emulator

You can also use an emulator like VICE to run these on your PC.  VICE is very useful, even if you primarily use a real C-64.  Highly recommended.

VICE works great with DB+. In fact, Dave Moorman, DotBASIC's creator, uses VICE almost exclusively.

COMMODORE FREE MAGAZINE

Commodore Free is a disk magazine produced by the Commodore Computer Club U.K.  The "Presenter", the program that creates the interface for the magazine, was written entirely in DotBASIC Plus.  It's all mouse and menu driven, or, like all DB+ programs, you can use a joystick in port 2.

The following programs are all on one D64 disk image.  Click any of the screenshots to download them all.

MINE SWEEP

The classic Windows time-waster now for the C-64.

4DOKU

4DOKU, a game written with DB+, is available in the DOWNLOAD section.

Enjoy this unique version of Sudoku.

WORLD'S GREATEST MENU

Here's a nice looking menu program.  Place this at the top of your disks to give your program collections a slick presentation  It uses a custom character set and has two extra features not found in other menu programs.  It has a 'text reader' that will automatically read any LOADSTAR "T." file.  Also, the menu will play the first SID music file it finds on the disk, as long as its name begins with a "M."

GRAFSTAR DEMO

Here is a short program that demos some of the powerful hi-res graphics capabilities included in DotBASIC Plus.

A moire pattern.
